Avelino Vegas, nuevo espacio en Madrid

Avelino Vegas is a family business founded in 1950 that owns a winery in Santiuste, a village in Segovia within the D.O. Rueda and two more wineries in the prestigious Ribera del Duero area, one in Fuentespina (Burgos) and the most recent, within the so-called Golden Mile, in Peñafiel (Valladolid).

This new headquarters in Madrid, where the commercial management will be based, has a professional space for tastings and samplings. Avelino Vegas opens its doors to other companies that wish to complement their meetings with an experience for lovers of gastronomy and good wine.

Avelino Vegas, Circe y los hermanos Torres
Avelino Vegas, nuevo espacio de vanguardia y calidad

Avelino Vegas wines are the protagonists and on this occasion Sergio and Javier Torres, with the sympathy and good work that characterizes them, put their two dishes to compete by pairing them with Circe, the most original white wine of the Rueda D.O. and with Avelino Vegas 100 Aniversario, a Ribera del Duero with capital letters.

The “moqueca” of mussels, prawns, crab, saffron noodles and coconut prepared by Sergio Torres was accompanied by Circe from the recent vintage 2022, a Verdejo wine with an aromatic, tropical and freshly cut hay explosion that surprises on the nose and fascinates on the palate.

With Avelino Vegas 100 Aniversario, an elegant and refined Tempranillo made with grapes from old vines from La Aguilera and aged in French oak and concrete ovoid tanks, Javier Torres paid tribute to the Segovian origin of the Vegas family by elaborating, with a surprising touch, a suckling pig accompanied by apricots and tamarind.

An endearing event that combined the good work of two families, Vegas and Torres, united by the desire to achieve excellence.
